Newborn Sessions
When booking your child’s first ever photography session, we recognize the importance of feeling secure and satisfied with the knowledge that your photographer not only captures beautiful images, but that they are doing so in a safe manner. Newborn sessions are especially challenging, and for that purpose, we book children under a month old with extra time for shooting, as it not only assists in make sure baby is comfortable and properly cared for with ample time for feeding, changing, and cuddles, but it sometimes takes longer to settle a newborn for those deliciously sweet sleepy poses. With a wide range of props, fabrics, and a flexible shoot schedule, we can help you preserve those wonderful wrinkles, the tiny toes, and even more intimate images of breastfeeding or skin to skin snuggles. We encourage the use of family heirlooms, generational photographs, trinkets or other special mementos to personalize your baby’s photo album on a more meaningful level. We have seen the use of Great Grandmother’s pearls, mother’s baby photos, hand knit blankets, and old music boxes. First Year Milestones Sessions
We’ve all seen those adorable monthly photos of that first year of life posted to Instagram and Pinterest. Using our props and styling, you can book mini sessions each month for your infant from day one to their first year. Upon completion of the package, we can assist you in creating a gorgeous 13-month calendar, photo collage, or photo book for an additional fee. Not only do you get a photo to mark each passing month, but you are welcome to customize the service to fit your budget!
The Cake Smash Session
“It’s only been one year, but it’s a big number for such a tiny person! After all the sleepless nights, the sweet chaos of life with a new baby, celebrate the first major milestone with a smash! Cake smashes are traditionally captured with a single tier cake and delightfully colourful frosting, but are just as sweet with a mountain of donuts, cupcakes, cookies, or even fruit topped with whipped cream! Shot on location, in studio or at the birthday party.*

*Photographing a great cake smash is ideal when it is not done during the birthday party hoopla, as infants are often distracted, and guests may be overly eager to watch the mess ensue, making it difficult for the photographer to get the best angles. We recommend the week before the party for best results (or earlier if you would like to use the images for party invitations), however, you can book a smash in the hours before your party if you are planning to book our services for the event itself: you’ll receive one free hour of party shooting time when you bundle a smash and an event session giving you more images to choose from. Please note the extra hour of shoot time does not include extra edited images, it provides more selection and flexibility in your hosting plans. Extra images may be purchased a-la-carte or with a package upgrade.
