What Is The Trick or Treat Trail?
Other than a fantastic experience...
Believe it or not, the Trick or Treat Trail started as our family's solution to the pandemic that shut down door to door trick or treating for our daughter, who was still very little at the time!
We wanted to create more than just our own display for the season, and give her an experience she would always remember, and thus, the trail was born. What it is, is a halloween treat hunt, not unlike the Easter Egg Hunts we're all used to. We created a maze of halloween decor for our kiddos to walk through and hid candy and little prizes throughout.
What happened though when we had a few neighbourhood kids walk by and realize what was happening on our yard, we saw an opportunity for contactless treat distribution! It became so popular over the years that it has now grown into a community attraction and charity event that people from out of town drive to!
We now have not just the maze and treat hunt, but a "carnevil" with donated prizes, and a concessions area all stocked by our fabulous community partners each year who help us fund this awesome little piece of happiness right here in Woodbridge Ontario!
It's spooky, not so scary, and there is something for people of all abilities to participate in!
